Is staying off site worth it?
Off-site hotels give you more choice of price, but no early entry (except the partner hotels above), Lightning Lane only 3 days ahead, and you drive or ride-share in. In a quiet season or on a tight budget, off site works fine. This is our advice.
Questions
- What do you get for staying at a Disney hotel?
- Staying at a Disney Resort hotel gets you into any of the 4 parks 30 minutes early every day, Lightning Lane 7 days ahead (others get 3), and dining reservations 60 days ahead for the whole stay (up to 10 nights). Deluxe and Deluxe Villa guests also get extended evening hours on select nights. Disney says early entry and extended evening hours continue through 2027.
- Do all Disney hotels get early entry?
- Yes: every Disney Resort hotel, plus partner hotels Disney lists such as Swan, Dolphin, Four Seasons and the Disney Springs area hotels. It's 30 minutes, every day, at any park.
- What are extended evening hours?
- On select nights at select parks, the park stays open after closing for guests of Deluxe resorts, Deluxe Villas, Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green. Disney's hours calendar lists the nights.
- Is a Value resort worth it?
- A Value resort gets the same early entry, 7-day Lightning Lane window and dining window as a Deluxe one; only extended evening hours are missing. For those perks on a budget, Value is the best deal. This is our advice.
