Disneyland Lightning Lane: how to buy it and is it worth it
In short
Disneyland has the same three passes. Multi Pass starts at $35 a day (Disney's price; it changes by date) and you book one ride at a time after you enter; Single Pass covers only Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers and is bought on the day; Premier Pass covers every Lightning Lane ride in both parks once and goes on sale up to 7 days ahead at 07:00 Pacific in the Disneyland app. Multi Pass can be added when you buy tickets, but the rides are booked on the day.
The three passes
Lightning Lane Multi Pass
After you enter, book one ride in the Disneyland app and get the next window; once you've used it (or 2 hours after booking) book the next. Rides in both parks count.
Lightning Lane Single Pass
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers: one per ride per day, bought once you enter the park.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass
Both parks, one day: each Lightning Lane ride once, no windows to book. Very limited.

Should you buy it?
Decide by three things:
How busy is it?
On days the crowd calendar marks busy, buy Multi Pass: the regular lines for popular rides get long.
On low days you can skip it: be there at opening and head for your favourite ride first.
Crowd calendar: which days are quieter →Your kids
Check which rides your kids are tall enough for first: Lightning Lane can't help on a ride they can't go on. Multi Pass pays off on the gentle rides with long lines; 2 of the 2 Single Pass rides have a height requirement.
Ride height requirements in cm and inches →How many days?
With one day per park, Lightning Lane is worth more. With two days in the same park, you can buy it for the busier day only.
This is our advice, not a Disney rule.
